We are seeking a highly skilled Building Control Specialist to join our team at Carbon 60. As a key member of our operations team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and compliance of our construction projects across the nation.

As a Building Control Specialist, you will be responsible for delivering statutory building control functions, including pre-application meetings, plan checking, site inspections, and visits. You will also make decisions on works, applications, notices, and other matters controlled under the Building Act 1984, Building Regulations 2010, and the new Building Safety Regime.

We estimate that the salary for this position is around £50,000 - £65,000 per annum, depending on experience. If you have a passion for building safety and regulatory compliance, we encourage you to apply.

About the Role:

  • You will work closely with our senior building control inspector to deliver statutory building control functions.
  • You will be involved in external contract, growth, and resilience work.
  • You will be responsible for administering all forms and levels of building regulation applications.
  • You will have the opportunity to up-sell our building control services and specialist services.

What We're Looking For:

  • A minimum of 2 years' experience in building control inspection, general building surveying, design, project management, or similar specialist services.
  • Knowledge of current building control legislation, associated guidance, and issues relevant to the post.
  • Experience of operating building control software systems.
  • Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office.
