Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Protection and Control Solutions Engineer to join our team at GE Aviation. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, validating, and troubleshooting GE Grid Solutions Protection and Control devices. They will also provide technical consultation to cross-functional teams throughout the business to improve or resolve manufacturing, products, applications, or field issues.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Collaborate with Program & Product Management teams to create high-level specifications.
2. Develop and support protection and control solutions using detailed functional specifications describing algorithms and test plans and model-based design for code generation.
3. Perform system studies and simulations using appropriate tools to validate GE Digital Energy algorithms.
4. Analyze user specifications / requirements to recommend appropriate GE Digital Energy solutions.
5. Analyze market trends and requirements to propose new developments in GE Digital Energy products.
6. Work with Customer Support personnel to resolve product, process, and customer issues.
7. Provide technical consultation, leadership, and guidance throughout the entire NPI design process.
8. Author technical papers and present materials at tradeshows and conferences for GE products.
9. Assist in preparing training material and deliver training courses, where required.
10. Provide technical guidance, direction, and training to new and/or experienced engineers, specialists, technicians, and co-ops when required.

Education and Experience:
Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent knowledge/experience, and minimum of 5 years of experience in developing applications in the P&C (Protection & Control) market or in a postgraduate/research environment.
