Rising Brook Surgery is seeking a Primary Care Clinical Specialist to join our team.

Job Description

We are looking for a skilled and experienced professional to provide comprehensive clinical services at our GP Practices within the Primary Care Network. The successful candidate will undertake surgery consultations, home visits, and telephone queries from patients and healthcare professionals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Providing high-quality patient care, making autonomous decisions in relation to presenting problems
  • Working with patients to support compliance with prescribed treatments and providing information on medication regimes, side-effects, and interactions
  • Prioritizing health problems and intervening appropriately in complex, urgent, or emergency situations
  • Supporting patients to adopt healthy lifestyles and self-care practices
  • Assessing and managing health needs of patients presenting for family planning or sexual health consultations
  • Screening patients for disease risk factors and early signs of illness

Other Responsibilities:

  • Awareness of and compliance with relevant GP Practice policies/guidelines
  • Contributing to regular administration and clinical meetings
  • Staying up-to-date with current and forthcoming National Service Frameworks and NICE guidance
  • Contributing to clinical governance and incident reporting

Requirements:

  • Degree-level qualification in a relevant field
  • Experience in primary care or a related setting
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team
