Job Responsibilities
- Raise purchase orders for the department, maintaining and updating them throughout the product lifecycle to ensure accuracy on the system.
- Ensure product lists are set up correctly and updated on the system, based on changing deadlines, managing critical deadlines in planning and trading.
- Manage the department's critical path, working with buyers to ensure the correct delivery date.
- Perform general administrative tasks, including filing, invoices, product data, and managing and sorting post and parcels.
- Manage department samples, including chasing samples, sample storage, and sample requests across wholesale, marketing, and photography.
- Prepare products for fit sessions and share comments with suppliers.
- Support the team in preparing for range meetings, including sample pulling and organizing sign-off documents when needed.
- Support junior buyers with the approvals process, managing product storage, lab dips, yarn dips, and bulk submissions.
- Conduct competitor shops to develop knowledge of the current market and provide feedback to the team as necessary.
- Maintain relationships with suppliers.
- Participate in in-store visits and provide detailed feedback to buyers and the merchandising team.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a buying administration role is preferred, with placement year or internship experience considered.
- Passion for gaining experience and developing a career in buying.
- Strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel.
- Proactive, hard-working, and excellent at building relationships.
- Self-motivated and highly organized.
- Ability to work confidently in a team environment.
- Capacity to prioritize and manage own workload.
