Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Senior Care Assistant to join our team at the Presbyterian Church in Ireland. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of our residents and contribute to a supportive and collaborative work environment.
About the Role
The successful candidate will have a strong background in care and support, with a minimum of 2 years' experience working with older people, people with disabilities, or those with mental health needs. You will be responsible for leading and participating in daily activities, supervising junior staff members, and providing hands-on care and support to residents.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement individualized care plans
- Supervise and mentor junior staff members
- Participate in daily activities, such as prayers and recreation
- Administer medications and maintain accurate records
- Ensure high standards of care and safety are maintained
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years' experience in a care role, preferably in a residential setting
- NVQ/QCF Level 2 Award in Health and Social Care (or equivalent)
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and night shifts
- Registration on the Northern Ireland Social Care Council register
Salary and Benefits
The successful candidate can expect a competitive salary of £13.03 - £13.13 per hour, plus benefits including enhanced annual leave, free uniform and training, and access to counseling services.
