Job Title: Senior Care Assistant

A rewarding opportunity has arisen for a Senior Care Assistant to join our team at Presbyterian Church in Ireland. This role offers the chance to make a real difference in the lives of older people and their families, providing high-quality care and support in a residential setting.

The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting with the management of the home, ensuring that residents receive the best possible care and service. This will involve monitoring and evaluating programmes of care, administering medicines, and maintaining accurate records. The ideal candidate will have experience working in a care environment, possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and be able to work effectively as part of a team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist with the design, plan, and implementation of individual programmes of care for residents.
  • Monitor and evaluate programmes of care to achieve high standards and provision of a quality service.
  • Administer medicines and adhere to all policies in relation to medicine control.

Requirements:
  • A minimum of 2 years' experience caring for older people or individuals with disabilities.
  • NVQ/QCF Level 2 Award in Health and Social Care (or equivalent).
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
