Head of Maintenance

About the Role
A Head of Maintenance at Barchester Healthcare ensures a clean and well-maintained environment for residents, providing a warm and welcoming atmosphere. This role is responsible for creating a first-class care experience by managing maintenance tasks, leading a team, and supporting the General Manager with budget planning.

Variety is key as a Head of Maintenance. You will perform diverse tasks within the care home building, gardens, and grounds. These may include fixing equipment, maintaining facilities, and collaborating with contractors. As a trusted member of the team, you will also support residents' wellbeing by working sensitively to resolve maintenance issues.

About You
To be successful in this role, you should have hands-on experience in property maintenance, at least one trade skill, and be able to manage a wide range of maintenance tasks. A proven ability to work independently, lead a team, and communicate effectively with stakeholders is essential. Additionally, a full UK driving license, IT literacy, and GCSEs in Maths and English are required.
