Job Title: Maintenance Operations Director

We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Operations Director to join our team at a Barchester care home. As a key member of our management team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the upkeep of our facilities, creating a warm and welcoming environment for residents and staff.

Job Summary

The Maintenance Operations Director will be responsible for maintaining the care home building, gardens, and grounds. This includes fixing leaks, planting new bulbs, and liaising with contractors for jobs beyond your team's expertise. Ensuring the wellbeing of residents is your top priority, and you will carry out all work with sensitivity to their needs.

Main Duties of the Job
  • Maintain the care home building, gardens, and grounds to ensure a clean and well-maintained environment.
  • Fix leaks, plant new bulbs, and undertake a wide range of maintenance tasks.
  • Liaise with contractors for jobs beyond your team's expertise.
  • Lead a team and support the General Manager with annual budget planning.
About You

To succeed as our Maintenance Operations Director, you will have hands-on experience in property maintenance, with at least one trade skill and the ability to undertake a wide range of tasks. You should be reliable, flexible, and comfortable working alone or leading a team. A full UK driving license, IT literacy, and GCSEs in Maths and English (or equivalent) are also essential.
