About the Job

We are seeking an experienced Senior Clinical Assessor/Mental Health Specialist to join our Mental Health and Acquired Brain Injury (ABI) team. As a Senior Clinical Assessor, you will be responsible for screening and approving funding applications for clients requiring packages of care or placements eligible for S117 aftercare entitlement under the Mental Health Act 1983.

You will work closely with our Southern Health Care Coordinators and social services colleagues to ensure commissioned care is safe, appropriate, and cost-effective through ongoing review and assessment. Your excellent interpersonal and presentation skills will enable timely provision of appropriate care and support, promoting Personal Health Budgets to encourage independence.

Requirements

  • Registered Health or Social Care Professional with current registration with a professional body (e.g., NMC, HCPC, or SWE), including AMHPs and mental health social workers or significant relevant experience.
  • Educated to degree level in a relevant subject or equivalent level of experience of working at a similar level in health or social care.
  • Experience of assessment of health and social care needs - care planning and coordination.
  • Knowledge and relevant experience working with individuals who are autistic and/or have learning disabilities and/or mental health issues.

Salary: £45,000 - £55,000 per annum, depending on experience.
