Autism-Focused Learning Mentor Job Description

A key role at Academics Ltd is seeking an Autism-Focused Learning Mentor to provide educational support to a small class of 8 students with complex needs. This includes autism, attention deficit disorder, learning difficulties, mental health needs, and physical disabilities.

The ideal candidate will possess experience working with SEN children and/or adults, be passionate and enthusiastic, have excellent communication skills, and be able to engage and motivate students. The position involves preparing learning materials, supporting the class teacher, creating a fun and engaging learning environment, and ensuring everyone is achieving.

About the Role:

  • Provide educational support to students with special educational needs
  • Assist the class teacher in maintaining a positive and inclusive learning environment
  • Support the development of individualized learning plans

Requirements:

  • Experience working with SEN children and/or adults
  • Possession of a caring and nurturing personality
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Working Arrangements:

This is a long-term temporary position with the opportunity for permanent employment. The successful candidate will work full-time, Monday to Friday, 8:30 am. The estimated salary for this role is £83-95 per day, dependent on experience, training, qualifications, and client rate available.
