Job Title:

Fishing Industry Operations Manager

A competitive compensation package, estimated at £60,000 - £80,000 per annum, is available for a highly motivated individual to take on the role of Fishing Industry Operations Manager with Pure Fishing. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for driving sales targets and KPIs to increase overall growth and profitability while ensuring high standards of customer service are met and exceeded.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Set Clear Objectives: Establish measurable objectives and deliverables for the Customer Service agenda that support commercial targets and strategy.
  2. Build a High-Performing Team: Develop a multi-skilled team capable of processing customer orders, handling sales/enquiries, and providing an efficient service to customers and field sales teams.
  3. Process Improvements: Enhance internal processes to increase efficiency and create new procedures as needed.
  4. Pricelist Management: Set up and manage pricelists, ensuring correct uploads in the system before each booking order season begins.
  5. Retail Sales Analysis: Provide regular analysis, preparing timely and accurate sales reports for senior management and suggesting improvements.
  6. Team Development: Foster a positive team ethos through individual and team meetings, clear communication, and encouraging feedback and information flow.
  7. Customer Escalations: Support with any customer service escalations and complaints.
  8. Marketing Liaison: Collaborate with the Marketing department for website updates or discrepancies affecting customer and B2B listings.
  9. Logistic Efficiency: Work closely with Warehouse Managers to maximize logistic efficiency and secure optimum order flow.

Requirements:

  1. Leadership Experience: Minimum 2 years' experience in leadership roles, with a track record of motivating and inspiring others in a Customer Service and commercial environment.
  2. Interpersonal Skills: Excellent interpersonal skills to build and maintain customer relationships.
  3. Adaptability: Demonstrate a positive attitude, flexibility, and willingness for continuous improvement and learning.
  4. Organizational Skills: Ability to plan, organize, and prioritize a busy workload.
  5. Technical Skills: Proficiency in Word, Excel, Outlook, and other Microsoft packages, with a good working knowledge of SAP required.
  6. Industry Knowledge: Knowledge of the fishing tackle industry and products is desirable.
