Business Development Manager Role

Rock Compliance Ltd is seeking a Business Development Manager to enhance the company's market position and achieve financial growth through the identification and securing of new business opportunities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop a personal sales strategy, including target lists and sales targets, to pursue top-tier national clients within the industry vertical.
  • Pursue new business approaches to develop key national relationships and establish Rock Compliance Ltd as a trusted industry partner.
  • Develop industry vertical strategies to become a sales leader in at least two sectors.
  • Own and develop strategic national frameworks to drive sales growth.
  • Prospect for potential new national clients and convert leads into increased business, contacting a set number of potential clients each week.
  • Provide quotations to new clients, prospects, and projects.
  • Produce contract briefs and mobilisation plans for new contracts.
  • Identify sales cross-sell or upsell opportunities and work with regional sales teams to capitalise on them.
  • Presentation of new products and services to new framework customers.
  • Train clients and provide Epic training.
  • Maintain a client database with new and potential clients.
  • Survey sites for quotation purposes.
  • Accurately report on sales performance.
  • Develop new products within industry verticals.
  • Produce PQQ and Tender documents with the Bid Team as required.

Account/Contract Handover

  • Mobilise new contracts alongside the Mobilisation Manager, involving the account management team.
  • Produce contract briefs for handover and embed account managers and handover in month six.
  • Assist with the mobilisation of contracts.
  • Work with account managers to meet customer needs during the initial handover.

Liaison with Clients

  • Serve as an interface between the client and Rock Compliance Ltd.
  • Attend contract review meetings to support account managers when required.
  • Build effective working relationships with clients to generate additional workloads.
  • Deal with client requests and communicate client agendas and requirements to other staff members.
  • Ensure that the company image and standards are maintained at all times.
  • Produce PQQ and Tender documents with the Bid Team as required.

Site-Based Working

  • Work away from the office from time to time, as defined by the operational needs of the business.

Required Skills:

  • Pre-Commissioning/Commissioning experience is desirable.
  • Vocational training courses relating to water hygiene are essential.
  • Previous exposure to the Water Hygiene sector, either in an operating environment or sales, is beneficial.
  • A proven sales track record is necessary.
  • Confident IT skills, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Confidence and a persuasive manner.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and organisational skills.
  • Excellent time management skills.
  • Willingness to travel.
  • A full clean driving licence.
