Senior Sales Account Manager

About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior National Account Manager to join our dynamic team at Lucy Walker Recruitment. In this role, you will be responsible for building and nurturing customer relationships across various UK retail channels.

Your key focus will be on developing strategic account plans aimed at driving growth and opening new distribution channels. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in working with top UK grocers and a proven track record of success in national account management.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone who thrives on autonomy and is eager to take full ownership of the commercial performance of their accounts.

Main Responsibilities
  • Drive sales growth within your territory by developing strategies to increase the performance of existing accounts.
  • Commercial responsibility - sales to be in line with business goals including accountability for customer gross margins.
  • Create and manage accurate customer forecasts to support business planning and decision-making.
  • Analyze and develop strategic account action plans using customer data, competitor analysis, and retail/category information.
  • Attend sales meetings, training programs, and industry-specific trade shows as required.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams such as Customer Service, Marketing, Operations, Finance, and Accounting.
Requirements for the Role
  1. Minimum 5 years successful account management experience in consumer products within Grocer, department stores or specialty store channels.
  2. Demonstrated ability to deliver compelling sales presentations/promotions.
  3. Travel - as required within the UK.
  4. Able to be in the Yorkshire office for a minimum one day a week.

The estimated salary range for this role is £65,000 - £70,000 + bonus + car allowance.
