**Job Title:** Senior Children’s Residential Support Worker

Estimated Salary: £25,000 - £28,000 per year, depending on experience

**Job Description:**

We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Senior Children’s Residential Support Worker to join our team. As a Senior Residential Support Worker, you will play a vital role in supporting our young residents to achieve their goals and develop the skills they need to succeed in life.

**Key Responsibilities:**

  • Provide individualised support to our young residents, promoting their physical, emotional, and educational well-being.\
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to develop and implement care plans that meet the unique needs of each resident.\
  • Support our residents to engage in activities that promote social skills, independence, and personal growth.\
  • Maintain accurate records of resident progress and participate in regular review meetings.\
  • Contribute to a culture of continuous improvement, suggesting new ideas and initiatives to enhance the quality of care we provide.\
  • Take ownership of your own professional development, engaging in training and learning opportunities to enhance your skills and knowledge.\
  • Participate in on-call duties and be available to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and bank holidays.\
  • Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.\
  • Ensure that all aspects of your work are delivered in accordance with Horizon Care and Education’s policies and procedures.\
  • Promote a positive and respectful working relationship with colleagues, residents, and external partners.\
  • Engage in performance management processes, including self-assessment, peer review, and supervisory review.\
  • Support the recruitment and induction of new staff members, ensuring a smooth transition into their roles.\
  • Participate in quality assurance processes, contributing to the evaluation and improvement of our services.\
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of best practice in residential care and stay informed about developments in the field.\
  • Report any incidents or concerns to the relevant manager, ensuring that we maintain a safe and secure environment for all.\
  • Collaborate with other teams and agencies to ensure the seamless delivery of our services.\
  • Develop and maintain effective relationships with external partners, including local authorities, schools, and health services.\
  • Stay up-to-date with legislative and regulatory requirements, ensuring that our services comply with all relevant laws and guidelines.\
  • Monitor and evaluate the impact of our services, identifying areas for improvement and contributing to the development of strategies to address them.\
  • Act as a positive role model, demonstrating a commitment to the values and principles of Horizon Care and Education.\
