Nuclear Safety Specialist

Average salary £70,000 - £100,000 per year. We are seeking a highly skilled Nuclear Safety Specialist to join our team at AWE Nuclear Security Technologies.

Job Description:

You will be covering on-site Major Capital Projects, from concept design stages through to construction and commissioning. This includes providing relevant, objective and independent assessments of safety performance throughout the organisation to its senior leaders.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Knowledge of Risk Assessment and Governance methodologies.
  • Working with Major Capital Projects and/or Construction sites, with a strong understanding of their key safety operation principles and associated legislation.
  • Flexibility, innovation and creativity with swift response to problem-solving whilst keeping the interests of the team, key stakeholders and the wider AWE team in mind.
  • Strong report writing and presentation skills.
  • Willing and able to obtain and maintain the security clearance required for the role.
  • 270 hours holiday
  • Market leading contributory pension scheme (we pay between 9% and 13% of your pensionable pay depending on your contributions).
