About the Role

We are looking for a highly skilled Physiotherapist to join our team in delivering physiotherapy services to major trauma patients in our acute setting. As a member of our multidisciplinary team, you will work closely with other healthcare professionals to provide a high-standard physiotherapy service to patients.

Your key responsibilities will include providing assessment and treatment to major trauma patients, working closely with other departments, and contributing to the planning, coordination, delivery, and evaluation of the physiotherapy service provided to patients within the team.

Main Duties

  • Provide physiotherapy services to major trauma patients, including assessment and treatment.
  • Work closely with other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans.
  • Contribute to the planning, coordination, delivery, and evaluation of the physiotherapy service provided to patients within the team.
  • Undertake community/home visits when required.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Broad post-graduate clinical experience in Neurology, Acute Respiratory, Trauma, and Orthopaedics/Frailty.
  • Demonstrable experience of teaching.
  • Proven evidence of contribution to clinical education/supervision of less-experienced staff, students, or assistants.
  • Demonstrable experience of working as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Proven evidence of relevant CPD.
  • An awareness of current NHS and health issues related to trauma care.
  • Experience of working in an acute hospital setting.
  • Previous demonstrable experience of working in Cardiothoracics/Neurosurgery/ICU/Emergency care/Health Care for the Older Person/Major trauma/MSK patients.
  • Clinical educator course.
  • Experience of working at Band 6 level.

Salary

The salary for this role is approximately £32,000 - £43,041 per annum, depending on experience.
