University Hospitals Plymouth NHS Trust invites applications for a skilled physiotherapist to join our team in delivering high-quality care to major trauma patients. The ideal candidate will have broad post-graduate clinical experience in Neurology, Acute Respiratory, Trauma and Orthopaedics/Frailty.

The successful applicant will be working across the trust and peripheral sites, providing a seven-day service including weekends and evenings. They will work closely with Cardiothoracics, Neurosurgery, Orthopaedics, Health Care of Elderly, Emergency Department, and Intensive Care teams to deliver an enhanced physiotherapy service.

This role is suitable for both Band 5 and Band 6 level candidates, with opportunities for career development and progression. The estimated salary for this position is £40,000 - £65,000 per annum, depending on experience.

Main Duties

  1. To provide a high standard physiotherapy service to patients within major trauma areas.
  2. To assist Team Leaders in planning, coordinating, delivering, and evaluating the physiotherapy service.
  3. To work independently and as part of a team to achieve goals and objectives.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Broad post-graduate clinical experience in relevant specialties.
  • Proven evidence of contribution to clinical education and supervision.
  • Awareness of current NHS and health issues related to trauma care.
  • Degree (BSc Hons Physiotherapy) or equivalent.
