Deafblind Support Specialist

As a Part-time Visitor Centre Assistant with Deafblind Scotland, you will play a vital role in enhancing the lives of vulnerable adults. Your primary responsibility will be to act as a Guide Communicator, enabling individuals who are deafblind to live independently.
Your Key Responsibilities:
- Making phone calls, writing letters, or completing forms on behalf of the deafblind person.
- Attending meetings with deafblind individuals, operations managers, and funding agencies.
- Collaborating with a team to deliver high-quality services.
- Maintaining accurate record-keeping.
- Evaluating and managing risk.
- Working flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays.
Additional Requirements:
- Completing mandatory training within 1 year.
- Possessing a full driving licence.
Holidays and Benefits:
You will receive 29 days annual leave (pro-rata for part-time), inclusive of 8 statutory days.
