**Job Overview**

We are seeking a Part-time Visitor Centre Specialist to join our team at Deafblind Scotland. This role is an excellent opportunity for individuals who want to make a difference in the lives of adults living with dual sensory impairment.

The successful candidate will work as a Guide Communicator, enabling service users to live as full and independent a life as possible.

**Key Responsibilities:**

  • Assist service users with communication tasks, including making phone calls, writing letters, and completing forms.
  • Attend planning and evaluation meetings with service users, Operations Manager, and funding agencies.
  • Work collaboratively with the team to deliver a high-quality service to service users.
  • Maintain accurate records, including incident and complaint reports.
  • Ability to assess and manage risk.
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and public holidays.

**Requirements:**

  • A commitment to complete all mandatory and service-specific training within 1 year.
  • Hold a full driving license.

**Benefits:**

  • 29 days annual leave inclusive of 8 statutory days (pro-rata for part-time employees).

**Estimated Salary: £18,000 - £22,000 per annum depending on experience.
