Job Summary

The post holder will work as part of the Residential team at East Dunbartonshire Council, delivering high-quality residential care to children and young people who require full-time care. This includes supporting their daily needs, education, and health requirements.

In addition to residential care, the post holder will undertake Outreach work in the community, providing support to young people and their families while they remain at home.

The role requires close collaboration with social workers, education professionals, and health services to promote the welfare and development of children and young people. The successful candidate will also contribute to the continuous improvement of Ferndale Children's Services and Ferndale Outreach Service.

The estimated salary for this role is £23,000 - £25,000 per annum, depending on experience.

A flexible 5/7 working rota will be planned to ensure consideration of holidays, training, and outings. The post holder may be required to cover day, evening, nightshift, and sleepover duties during emergencies, as well as occasional overtime or weekend work.

The ideal candidate will hold an HNC in Social Care and a full SVQ 3 in Social Care or equivalent qualifications, as set by the Scottish Social Services Council.
