Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled 1:1 Teaching Assistant to join our team in a vibrant mainstream primary school in Salisbury. As a dedicated individual, you will provide full-time support to a pupil with special educational needs (SEN), including Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC), ADHD, Global Delay, and Behavioural Challenges.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver tailored support to a pupil in Key Stage 1 and/or 2, assisting the class teacher in adapting learning plans and promoting inclusive classroom activities.
  • Develop and implement strategies to support the pupil's social and emotional development, building confidence and independence.
  • Collaborate with the class teacher to ensure effective teamwork and adapt to the individual needs of the child.

Requirements and Qualifications:

  • Proven experience working with pupils with SEN (ASC, ADHD, Global Delay, and Behaviour Challenges) within a primary school setting.
  • Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent is highly desirable.
  • A strong passion for helping children overcome challenges and reach their full potential.
