Psychology Graduate Educator

About the Role:
Axcis Education Recruitment seeks a motivated Psychology graduate to join their team as an educational assistant. This role involves supporting children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) and Social, Emotional, Mental Health (SEMH) needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with teachers and other professionals to develop tailored support plans for pupils with SEND and SEMH.
- Implement evidence-based interventions and strategies to enhance pupil outcomes.
- Maintain accurate records of interactions with pupils, ensuring confidentiality and data protection.
- Contribute to planning and delivering group activities promoting emotional literacy and coping skills.
- Attend meetings, supervision, and professional development sessions to stay updated on best practices.
Requirements:
- Qualification in Psychology or a related field.
- Strong interest in working within an educational or psychology-oriented environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for engaging with diverse backgrounds.
- Enhanced DBS check required before employment begins.
- Prior experience with children or young people is beneficial but not essential.
