About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity for a senior clinician to contribute to the mental health care of people in the general hospital. As a Senior Mental Health Practitioner, you will work within a busy team completing both assessment and consultation work with people who require support for their mental health needs.

You will be responsible for making specialist mental health assessments, devising interventions to help individuals recover, and communicating effectively with colleagues, clients, families, and carers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Making specialist mental health assessments and devising interventions to promote recovery.
  • Communicating effectively with colleagues, clients, families, and carers.
  • Working within a busy team to complete assessments and consultations.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • An extensive post-registration experience working at band 5 (2-3 years minimum) in mental health care.
  • Experience of leading on completion of biopsychosocial assessments with people with mental health needs.
  • A strong understanding of recovery principles in Mental Health.
Salary and Benefits

The salary for this role is approximately £38,000 - £45,000 per annum, depending on experience. In addition to a competitive salary, we offer a range of benefits including training opportunities, flexible working arrangements, and a supportive working environment.
