As a Consultant Psychiatrist at Pinhoe View, you will be part of a multidisciplinary team responsible for managing complex cases and providing evidence-based treatment. You will work closely with nursing staff, OTs, psychologists, and social workers to deliver comprehensive care plans tailored to individual patient needs.

We offer a competitive salary package, including an annual salary of £120,000, car allowance of £8,400, relocation assistance up to £8,000, and a Group Personal Pension Plan (GPPP) with pension contribution.

Key Responsibilities

  • Liaison and collaborative working with care co-ordinators, commissioners, families, and carers
  • Mental Health Act implementation and liaison with Ministry of Justice (if applicable)
  • Multi-disciplinary, multi-agency, and partnership working
  • Undertaking administrative duties associated with patient care, ensuring NHSE contractual obligations are met
  • Maintaining professional registration with GMC and abiding by professional codes of conduct
  • Maintaining Section 12(2) and approved clinician status

Requirements

  • MBBS or equivalent medical qualification
  • Full GMC registration with license to practice
  • MRCPsych or MRCPsych equivalent approved by Royal College of Psychiatrists
  • Able to take full and independent responsibility for clinical care of patients
  • Hold Section 12(2) approval to work in England and Approved clinician status
  • Experience in General Adult settings and working in a multi-disciplinary team
  • Experience in risk assessment and risk management
