About the Job

We are seeking a talented Clinical Leader in Neurodiversity Care to join our team at Devon Partnership NHS Trust. As a psychiatrist with extensive experience in learning disability psychiatry, you will lead the development of new care pathways and services that promote positive outcomes for individuals with learning disabilities and neurodevelopmental disorders.

This role presents a unique opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the lives of patients and their families, working closely with our multi-disciplinary team to design and deliver innovative care solutions that meet the complex needs of this population.

Main Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement evidence-based clinical guidelines and protocols for the assessment and management of patients with learning disabilities and neurodevelopmental disorders.
  • Lead the development of new care pathways and services, working closely with stakeholders and partners to ensure effective collaboration and coordination.
  • Provide expert advice and support to colleagues and other healthcare professionals, ensuring that patients receive high-quality care and treatment that meets their individual needs.
Requirements
  • At least four years' experience in a relevant specialty, including two years in a postgraduate training program or equivalent.
  • Extensive knowledge of relevant legislation, including the Mental Health Act 1983 and the Equality Act 2010.
  • Demonstrated expertise in leadership and management, including the ability to motivate and empower teams to achieve high standards of care and quality improvement.
