Salary

The salary for this position is around £60,000-£80,000 per annum, depending on experience.

Job Description

This is an exciting opportunity to work as a Specialty Doctor on a 10-bed inpatient psychiatric ward for people with learning disabilities and/or autism, with co-morbid mental disorder.

Key Responsibilities
  • Working as part of a large multi-disciplinary team to deliver consistently high-quality care and treatment.
  • Shaping and developing the team to meet the needs of patients.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A medical qualification and completion of at least four years full-time postgraduate experience (or its equivalent gained on a part-time or flexible basis).
  • At least two years' experience in a specialty training programme in a relevant specialty or as a fixed-term Specialty Trainee in a relevant specialty.
  • Experience working in the field of Psychiatry of Intellectual Disabilities or with autistic adults in other contexts.
