About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Consultant Psychiatrist to join our team at Devon Partnership NHS Trust, specializing in General Adult Psychiatry. As a key member of our Exeter Core Outer Community Mental Health Team (CMHT), you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality mental health services to patients aged 18-65 years old.

Job Responsibilities:

  • You will be responsible for assessing, diagnosing, and treating patients managed by the Exeter Core Outer CMHT, providing expert clinical services as needed.
  • Leadership roles within the wider CMHT and participation in ensuring efficient patient care flow through the Trust will be expected.
  • Liaison with national and local services, including the voluntary sector, is necessary.

Requirements:

  • A team player able to inspire and support staff at all levels of training.
  • A commitment to continuing professional development and multidisciplinary working.
  • Awareness of NHS management and funding arrangements.

Essential Qualifications:

  • Full Registration with the General Medical Council.
  • Eligible for inclusion in the Specialist Register or within 6 months of CCT at time of interview.

Salary and Benefits:

The estimated annual salary for this position is around £120,000 - £140,000, depending on experience. Additionally, you will have access to a comprehensive benefits package, including pension schemes, life insurance, and generous annual leave.
