Devon Partnership NHS Trust is a leading provider of mental health, learning disability and neurodiversity services in the South West region. We are currently seeking an experienced Senior Autism Clinical Psychologist to join our team in Devon.

Job Summary

We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Senior Autism Clinical Psychologist to provide clinical leadership and supervision to our multidisciplinary team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality psychological services to autistic individuals, including assessment, formulation, and treatment planning. You will also contribute to the development and implementation of psychology pathways within our service.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in clinical psychology, with experience working with autistic adults. They will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. The successful candidate will also have a keen interest in developing their skills and expertise in autism-specific clinical psychology.

Main Responsibilities
  • To provide clinical leadership and supervision to the multidisciplinary team, including psychologists, therapists, and support workers.
  • To develop and implement psychology pathways within our service, ensuring that they are evidence-based and tailored to the needs of autistic individuals.
  • To conduct assessments, formulations, and treatment plans for autistic individuals, using a range of theoretical models and interventions.
  • To provide expert advice and guidance to colleagues, managers, and other stakeholders on autism-specific clinical psychology matters.
  • To contribute to the development and implementation of policies, procedures, and guidelines related to autism-specific clinical psychology.
Requirements
  • PhD in Clinical Psychology or equivalent qualification.
  • Registered as a Chartered Clinical Psychologist with the British Psychological Society (BPS).
  • Experience working with autistic adults, ideally in a clinical or research setting.
  • Strong knowledge of autism-specific clinical psychology theories, models, and interventions.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Salary and Benefits
