Mental Health Support Specialist

We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate individual to join our team as a Mental Health Support Specialist in Cumbria.
This is an exciting opportunity to work with individuals who have experienced mental health issues and support them on their journey towards recovery.
As a Mental Health Support Specialist, you will be responsible for providing one-on-one and group support to service users, working closely with a multidisciplinary team to co-develop therapeutic groups and care plans.
You will also contribute to the development of a structure of lived experience throughout the project, ensuring that service user and carer confidence is bolstered through their care pathway and towards meaningful recovery aspirations.

This role involves working with individuals presenting with a range of mental health issues and risks, requiring unsociable working hours due to the 24/7 nature of the project.
The ideal candidate will have completion of Peer Support Specialist Training or similar peer support training, as well as Wellness Recovery Action Plan (WRAP) training.
- Estimated salary: £25,000 - £30,000 per annum
- Required skills: Ability to assist people in developing recovery and wellness plans, capacity to work in an enabling and creative manner, ability to effectively challenge practice and language use
