About the Opportunity

Shropshire Community Health NHS Trust is recruiting a skilled Health Visitor to join its community-based health services team.

This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the delivery of high-quality care to children and families in Shropshire, Telford, and Wrekin.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to deliver allocated components of the Healthy Child Programme.
  • Develop and maintain effective relationships with partner agencies and providers.
  • Travel regularly as part of the post's requirements.

Person SpecificationQualifications and Training
  • NMC Registered
  • Specialist Community Public Health Nurse - Health Visitor qualification
  • Evidence of broader and recent CPD
  • Nurse prescriber (HV)
Experience
  • Significant post-registration experience
  • Demonstrable knowledge and experience of child protection/safeguarding
  • Experience of working with children and young people
  • Experience in multi-agency and collaborative working
Knowledge and Skills
  • IT skills and computer literacy
  • Ability to undertake critical appraisal of research
  • Ability to analyse complex data and present findings
  • Safeguarding Policies and Procedure
  • Health Needs Assessment
  • Clinical Governance - Application to service Improvement and patient safety
  • Common Assessment Framework
  • Adaptable and flexible to changing needs of client group
