About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Child Development Lead to join our team at Leader Recruitment Group.

The successful candidate will be responsible for leading and mentoring a team of support workers, developing individualised care plans, and ensuring high standards of care and safeguarding.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and mentor a team of support workers
  • Develop and implement individualised care plans for children
  • Support children in their personal development
  • Ensure high standards of care and safeguarding
  • Collaborate with other professionals
  • Conduct assessments and reviews

Requirements:

  • Relevant qualifications in health and social care or a related field
  • Significant experience working in a support role within children's services
  • Proven experience in a supervisory or leadership role
  • Sound understanding of child development and safeguarding procedures
  • Strong knowledge of relevant legislation and best practices
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Strong organisational and problem-solving abilities
  • Empathy, patience and a genuine passion for supporting young people
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Flexibility to work various shifts
  • Full UK driving licence
