Highway Maintenance Operative

Responsibilities:
- Cyclical grass cutting between March and October
- Grass cutting via the use of tractors with front and side arm flails, remote control bank mowers, ride on mowers, specialist machinery such as reforms and barrier mowers, and brush cutters
- Weed control
- Tree and hedge work, whether that be hazardous tree removal, sign and CCTV clearance and hedgerow maintenance or reduction outside of bird nesting season
- Path clearance
- Planting schemes including complete de-vegetation of ditches or other infrastructures
- Complete de vegetation for new structures and roads
- Jet washing
You do NOT need to be experienced in highways or vegetation management works, although it would be beneficial. You should have a basic understanding of health & safety, be physically able and hold a Safety Critical Medical certificate, and possess a full UK driving license with less than 6 points.
