Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled Quantity Surveyor to join our team and support the delivery of high-quality highway contracts. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the commercial delivery of contracts and developing a clear vision for the Operations team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure the commercial delivery of contracts on the Highways Network.
  • Develop a clear vision for the Operations team, adding value to the functional operation of the Highway Maintenance service.
  • Support and enable colleagues across Highway Operation and Management to embed systems for continuous improvement.
  • To work with our Communities, Staff, elected Members, Partners and Suppliers to ensure the delivery of required outcomes, in a consistent way, using the right skills and the most appropriate delivery methods.

Requirements:

  • Degree in Quantity Surveying or related field.
  • Professional qualification in Quantity Surveying (e.g. MRICS).
  • Minimum 3 years' experience in quantity surveying, preferably in the highways industry.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Able to build working relationships and effectively communicate complex advice.
