Role Overview

Milestone Infrastructure, a leading highways maintenance provider in the UK, is seeking an Apprentice Civil Engineer to join their Engineering Solutions team. As part of this role, you will have the opportunity to learn from experienced engineers and contribute to the development of highway infrastructure projects.

Milestone Infrastructure is responsible for maintaining over 48,000 km of roads, 300,000 lighting assets, and 20,000 miles of footways across the UK. Job Responsibilities

As an Apprentice Civil Engineer, your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Learning and Development: You will work alongside experienced engineers to develop your skills and knowledge in civil engineering, including project management, quality control, and safety procedures.
  • Project Coordination: You will assist in coordinating construction activities on site, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and meet required safety, environmental, and quality standards.
  • Scheme Design and Planning: You will contribute to designing maintenance and improvement schemes for highway infrastructure, including roads, bridges, signs, and safety barriers.
  • Training and Qualifications: You will complete a level 6 BEng Civil Engineering degree apprenticeship, participate in a rotational training program, and receive additional operational and professional training.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you must:

  • Hold the Permanent Right to Work in the UK.
  • Achieve 5 GCSEs at grade 4/C or above, including English and Mathematics.
  • Meet the necessary qualifications for a civil engineering degree.
