Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead Civils/Structures projects on highways in the Oxford and Oxfordshire region.

About the Role
  • Manage project activities, overseeing design staff and subcontractors.
  • Evaluate and optimize planning, programming, procurement, commercial monitoring, and health & safety practices.
  • Review and validate project documentation, including RAMS, Preconstruction Information, and necessary health and safety records.
  • Maintain accurate records of meetings, resource allocation, and progress monitoring.
  • Facilitate forecast and resource meetings with project teams.
  • Contribute to enhancing project quality and delivery.
  • Effectively communicate with stakeholders, staff, workforce, subcontractors, and clients.
  • Implement Company Management System (CMS) requirements applicable to business operations.
  • Collaborate with the commercial team to administer NEC project controls, CE, EWN, RFI.
Key ResponsibilitiesProject Oversight:

The Project Manager will be responsible for overseeing multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring timely completion, and meeting project goals. They will also be responsible for supervising design staff and subcontractors, as well as evaluating and optimizing project planning and programming.

Commercial Monitoring:

The successful candidate will be expected to closely monitor commercial aspects of the project, including procurement, cost control, and revenue management. This includes reviewing project invoices, tracking financial performance, and identifying areas for cost savings or improvement.

Health and Safety:

A key aspect of this role is ensuring that all project-related activities are conducted in accordance with established health and safety protocols. This includes conducting regular site visits, monitoring risk assessments, and maintaining accurate records of safety incidents and near-misses.

Requirements

To succeed in this position, you should possess a strong background in project management, with experience in leading large-scale construction projects. You should have excellent communication and leadership skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
