Policy and Public Affairs Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled Policy and Public Affairs Manager to join our team at the Royal College of Nursing. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in shaping our policy and public affairs strategy, influencing key decision-makers, and communicating our objectives and policies to stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and manage our campaigning, political, and policy activities to ensure effective messaging and influence.
  • Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including the Welsh Government, to advance our policy objectives.
  • Contribute to policy development across the RCN to ensure consistent and effective messaging.
  • Provide policy and political analysis, research project management, and presentation skills to support our policy and public affairs work.

Requirements:

  • Strong background in health and social care policy, political affairs, and devolution within Wales and across the UK.
  • Demonstrable experience of policy and political analysis, research project management, and presentation skills.
  • Competitive pay structure with annual pay progression.
  • Annual leave up to 32 days plus bank holidays and additional leave for Christmas.
