We are currently working with a leading strategic communications firm, F1 Recruitment Limited, who are seeking an experienced Associate Director to join their Public Affairs team.

This is an exciting opportunity to shape and define the future of their Public Affairs team, which has expanded to work with various sectors including technology, energy, transport, and more.

The role involves taking on key responsibilities from the Head of Public Affairs and playing a crucial part in the development and direction of the team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the Head of Public Affairs to drive the direction and strategy of the team.
  • Manage and mentor junior members of the Public Affairs team.
  • Act as a strategic advisor on client accounts and define strategy for junior team members.
  • Work on integrated briefs alongside the Corporate Communications team.
  • Identify and explore new business opportunities.
  • Develop and grow a cross-party network of political stakeholders.

Requirements:

  • Experience working in a PR or Public Affairs agency/consultancy is essential.
  • Experience in sectors such as Financial Services, Transport, Energy, Consumer Brands, or Technology is highly desirable.
  • Strong political networker with an existing network.
  • Ambition to lead and help shape a team.
  • Strong knowledge and experience of the inner workings of parliament.
