About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Corporate Affairs Director to join our team at the British Poultry Council. This is a unique opportunity to represent the dynamic food sector and engage with external stakeholders to present coherent industry positions in the context of UK food supply and productivity.

Key Responsibilities
  • Represent the British Poultry Council in a professional and effective manner, building relationships with key stakeholders and influencing the political agenda.
  • Work closely with the Communications Manager to develop and implement a comprehensive external affairs strategy.
  • Manage relationships with political stakeholders, including MPs, Lords, Ministers, and their staff, as well as other trade associations and think tanks.
  • Support the production of reports, briefing papers, and insights as part of the external affairs team.
  • Engage with internal and external stakeholders to strengthen relationships and gather information on key subjects.
Requirements
  • Degree level or equivalent in a relevant field.
  • Five+ years' experience in political, public affairs, or trade association roles.
  • Proven track record of influencing the political agenda and building relationships with key stakeholders.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a small team and meet tight deadlines.
