About the Role:

The Courthouse Shoreditch is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Maintenance Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our facilities management team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our hotel's maintenance and engineering functions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the maintenance and repair of all hotel facilities, including guest rooms, public areas, and plant rooms.
  • Manage the maintenance budget and ensure that all maintenance activities are carried out in a cost-effective and efficient manner.
  • Conduct regular inspections of the hotel's facilities to identify potential maintenance issues and implement preventative measures.
  • Supervise and train maintenance staff to ensure that they have the necessary skills and knowledge to carry out their duties effectively.
  • Ensure that all maintenance activities are carried out in accordance with health and safety regulations and company policies.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure that maintenance activities are aligned with business objectives.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in a maintenance or engineering role, preferably in a hotel or hospitality environment.
  • Strong knowledge of maintenance and repair techniques, including electrical, mechanical, and plumbing.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with staff at all levels.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong focus on customer service.
  • Highly organized and able to prioritize tasks effectively.
