Job Summary

Director of Strategic Infrastructure and Estates Management

Barts Health NHS Trust is seeking an experienced and skilled Director of Strategic Infrastructure and Estates Management to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and leading the overall estate strategy of the Trust, including supporting the effective delivery of capital project management.

The role will also involve efficient and effective day-to-day management of the estate, major PFI contracts at three of our hospital sites, and significant recently insourced soft FM services across the Group.

The ideal candidate will have senior-level experience of leading Estates/Facilities Management functions in complex organisations, with experience in collaboration with partners to deliver end-user benefits, creating and implementing strategic plans, and leading and managing multidisciplinary teams.

They will also have experience in developing, commissioning significant capital projects, advising Board Directors individually and collectively, and managing complex estates and capital projects on time and in budget.

The successful candidate will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to balance competing priorities and meet personal and directorate targets within a fluctuating and demanding workload.
