Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled Strategic Facilities Operations Director to provide leadership to our Facilities operations, focusing on strategic planning, budget management, and service delivery. Reporting to the Head of Estates, the postholder is responsible for leading the Facilities team and support partners to ensure efficient facilities management in alignment with the ACS Strategic Plan and annual budgets.

The successful candidate will be a driven, customer-focused leader with experience of leading and motivating facilities teams across a comparable estate portfolio, including the management of extensive grounds. They will possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to represent the organisation to external parties and interface with internal partners, staff, consultants, and contractors.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and manage campus facilities to meet the organisation's current and future needs
  • Lead the Facilities team and support partners to ensure efficient facilities management
  • Manage and oversee the development and implementation of strategic facilities plans

Requirements:

The successful candidate will be an enthusiastic, inspiring, and inclusive leader with demonstrable experience of leading and motivating facilities teams across a comparable estate portfolio. They will possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to represent the organisation to external parties and interface with internal partners, staff, consultants, and contractors.
