About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic psychiatrist to lead our team at Nouvita Healthcare. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for fostering a professional and open culture that empowers our clinical staff to provide exceptional care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive treatment service that delivers high-quality care to patients with mental health issues.
  • Provide expert advice on psychiatric care and take overall responsibility for a defined caseload of patients.
  • Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to foster positive working relationships and ensure effective communication.
  • Oversee the performance of Consultant Psychiatrists, ensuring systems are in place for appraisal and revalidation.
  • Maintain effective leadership and provide clinical supervision and mentorship to colleagues.
  • Represent Nouvita Healthcare externally, raising the profile of the organization and establishing relationships with key partners.
  • Participate in quality enhancement and service evaluation projects, and contribute to research initiatives that improve service delivery.
  • Lead the Continuing Professional Development (CPD) program and foster a culture of learning within the organization.
Requirements
  • Approved Clinician status
  • Member of the Royal College of Psychiatrists (MRCPsych) and in good CPD standing
  • Current registration with the General Medical Council (GMC)
  • At least five years' experience in an in-patient setting
  • Experience of working in a Psychiatric Intensive Care Unit and Acute Services
  • Ability to take independent clinical decisions and demonstrate clinical leadership
  • Knowledge of evidence-based practice, MHA, and MCA
  • Effective communication skills and ability to organize oneself and prioritize clinical need
