We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Lead Psychiatrist to join our team at Nouvita Limited. As a key member of our clinical leadership team, you will play a vital role in shaping the strategic direction of our psychiatric services.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement a comprehensive treatment service that delivers high-quality care to individuals with mental health needs.
- Provide expert advice and guidance on psychiatric care, taking overall responsibility for a defined caseload of patients.
- Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to foster positive working relationships and ensure effective communication.
- Oversee the performance of Consultant Psychiatrists, ensuring systems are in place to support appraisal and revalidation.
- Maintain effective leadership and provide clinical supervision and mentorship to colleagues.
- Represent the company externally, raising the profile of our services and establishing working relationships with commissioners and other key partners.
- Participate in quality enhancement and service evaluation projects, and contribute to research initiatives that drive service improvement.
- Lead the Continuing Professional Development (CPD) programme and foster a culture of learning within the organization.
- Approved Clinician status
- Member of the Royal College of Psychiatrists (MRCPsych) and in good CPD standing
- Current registration with the General Medical Council (GMC)
- At least five years' experience in an in-patient setting
- Experience of working in Acute Services
- Ability to take independent clinical decisions and demonstrate clinical leadership
- Knowledge of evidence-based practice
- Evidence of participation in audit
- In-depth knowledge of the Mental Health Act (MHA) and Mental Capacity Act (MCA)
- Effective communication skills, verbal and written
- Up-to-date knowledge of current practices in in-patient Psychiatry
- Able to organize oneself and prioritize clinical need
- Experience of working in a Psychiatric Intensive Care Unit
