We are seeking an experienced and dynamic psychiatrist to lead our team at Nouvita Healthcare. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for fostering a professional and open culture that empowers our clinical staff to provide exceptional care.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement a comprehensive treatment service that delivers high-quality care to individuals with mental health issues.
- Provide expert advice on psychiatric care and take overall responsibility for a defined caseload of patients.
- Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to ensure effective care and foster positive working relationships with stakeholders.
- Oversee the performance of Consultant Psychiatrists and ensure systems are in place for appraisal and revalidation.
- Maintain effective leadership and provide clinical supervision and mentorship to colleagues.
- Represent Nouvita Healthcare externally and establish working relationships with commissioners, community teams, and other key partners.
- Participate in quality enhancement and service evaluation projects, and contribute to research initiatives that improve service delivery.
- Lead the Continuing Professional Development (CPD) program and foster a culture of learning within the organization.
- Approved Clinician status
- Member of the Royal College of Psychiatrists (MRCPsych) and in good CPD standing
- Current registration with the General Medical Council (GMC)
- At least five years' experience in an in-patient setting
- Experience of working in a Psychiatric Intensive Care Unit and Acute Services
- Ability to take independent clinical decisions and demonstrate clinical leadership
- Knowledge of evidence-based practice, MHA, and MCA
- Effective communication skills and ability to organize oneself and prioritize clinical needs
Nouvita Healthcare is a specialist psychiatric hospital providing care and support for adults. Our hospital has two female PICU wards and two acute wards, offering a range of services to meet the needs of our patients. Our care model prioritizes patient-centered care, focusing on recovery and personalized support.
