Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Community Crisis Intervention Practitioner to join our Street Triage Team based at Cheshire West. As a key member of our team, you will provide comprehensive assessment and support to individuals experiencing mental health crisis in a community setting, working closely with police colleagues and other multidisciplinary professionals to deliver high-quality care and promote positive outcomes.

The successful candidate will have extensive experience working in mental health settings, particularly in crisis intervention and assessment. You should have a strong understanding of current professional staff development needs, physical pathology, and the relationship between physical and mental health. Your expertise will enable you to provide sound knowledge and advice on treatment and management plans, as well as training to staff and police colleagues about mental illness and treatment.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive assessment and support to individuals experiencing mental health crisis
• Work collaboratively with police colleagues and other professionals to deliver high-quality care
• Develop and implement treatment and management plans in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams
• Provide training and education to staff and police colleagues about mental illness and treatment

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to have:
• Extensive experience working in mental health settings, particularly in crisis intervention and assessment
• Strong understanding of current professional staff development needs, physical pathology, and the relationship between physical and mental health
• Ability to work collaboratively with police colleagues and other professionals to deliver high-quality care

What We Offer

As a valued member of our team, you can expect a competitive salary of £38,000 - £43,041 per annum, depending on experience. In addition to your salary, you will receive a range of benefits, including up to three weeks' induction, dependent on role, with our Prepare to Care programme.
