About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Comprehensive Mental Health Practitioner to join our Liaison Psychiatry team at Cheshire & Wirral Partnership NHS Foundation Trust.

Job Summary

This is an exciting opportunity for a registered mental health professional to work as part of a multidisciplinary team, providing comprehensive biopsychosocial assessments and interventions for individuals presenting with complex psychiatric illnesses in an acute hospital setting.

Responsibilities
  • Work as part of a multidisciplinary liaison team to provide comprehensive biopsychosocial assessments and interventions for individuals presenting with complex psychiatric illnesses in an acute hospital setting.
  • Provide mental health consultation, liaison, and advice throughout departments, delivering evidenced-based psychosocial interventions as required.
  • Collaborate with police colleagues, NWAS, and Local Authorities to provide comprehensive assessments for individuals experiencing mental health crises in community settings.
Requirements
  • A recognised qualification in mental health (RMN, AHP, Social Care AMHPs).
  • Knowledge and sensitivity to equal opportunities issues.
  • Sound knowledge of current professional staff development and continuous service improvement issues, particularly in the context of ADHD and personality disorder services.
