Job Summary

The Senior Oracle Business Analyst plays a critical role in optimizing and automating supply chain, manufacturing, and commercial business processes specific to the Oracle application at AFL. This position works in close partnership with the Director ERP and Business Applications, Business Analysts, Systems Analysts, Business Process Owners, Developers, and End Users to drive business value, pursue improved or new technology functionality, and standardize business processes and technology across the corporation.

Responsibilities

  • Document and analyze the current state of business processes to identify areas for improvement.
  • Apply knowledge of best practices and functional expertise to drive change in the organization through technology and business process redesign.
  • Understand and validate business needs, distinguish between needs and wants, and design specifications for developers.
  • Participate in the support/analysis/resolution of critical production application issues to protect end users' ability to run the business.
  • Actively participate in all phases of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Change Control processes.
  • Develop and execute test plans to assess the integrity and accuracy of business processes, module functionality setups, and modifications.
  • Manage assigned project/enhancements using Service Now ITBM.
  • Develop and maintain end user training documentation and deliver training/demos/presentations as required.
  • Develop and maintain business process documentation in flowchart and narrative form to support compliance.

Requirements

  • Thorough knowledge of business processes as they relate to assigned area of focus in a diverse manufacturing organization.
  • Strong process orientation with proven experience in business and technical requirements analysis, business process modeling/mapping, and methodology-based implementation.
  • Results-focused, tenacious, multi-tasking problem solver, capable of complex thinking and analysis.
  • Proven ability to research, understand, and apply knowledge of the Oracle Application to business needs within the organization.
  • Ability to train and provide support to users as required.
  • Strong business acumen: Establish and maintain effective relationships, develop business cases and ROI's for solution design proposals.
  • 5+ years' experience as an Oracle business analyst (Supporting Oracle EBS Versions).
  • 5+ years of planning skills that include: project coordination and management, planning and scheduling, time management, and the ability to handle multiple deadlines.
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Information Technology, Computer Science, or Engineering from an accredited college or university.
