Business Development Lead

**Job Description:**
We are seeking an experienced Commercial Manager to lead the commercial function within our organisation. As a key member of the leadership team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing the commercial strategy to maximise revenue and cash flow. This role will involve mentoring and managing junior members of the commercial team, as well as guiding project teams on commercial risks and opportunities. The successful candidate will have a proven track record of successful project delivery in a commercial management role, experience across a range of common Forms of Contract, and excellent verbal and written communication skills.
**Responsibilities:**
* Develop and implement the commercial strategy to maximise revenue and cash flow
* Mentor and manage junior members of the commercial team
* Guide project teams on commercial risks and opportunities
* Balance risk, opportunity, and financial returns in both pre- and post-contract commercial management
**Requirements:**
* Experience in commercial management, procurement, and supply chain management
* Strong understanding of procurement law and regulations
* Expertise in NEC & NEC PSC Forms of Contract
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Ability to motivate and lead a team
