Job Title: Multi-Skilled Engineering Trainer

Total People is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Engineering Trainer to join our team. As an Engineering Trainer, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality training and coaching to apprentices in a workshop environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver coaching and mentoring sessions to support apprentices in developing their knowledge, skills, and behaviours.
  • Teach in both classroom and workshop environments, ensuring that apprentices meet the required standards.
  • Complete guidance and mock end-point assessments to prepare apprentices for independent assessment.
  • Work closely with other Learning Coaches to ensure that skills and knowledge learned in the classroom are embedded in the workplace.
  • Participate in discussions with employers to build relationships and provide updates on apprentice progress.
  • Embed maths and English into your delivery to support learners who require Functional Skills or equivalent.
Requirements:
  • Relevant occupational sector experience and relevant qualifications (at a level 3 or higher than delivery).
  • Functional Skills Level 2 in English, Maths, and ICT or equivalent, or willingness to undertake.
  • Ability to deliver high-quality, effective coaching that meets learner needs.
  • Excellent level of skills in written and oral and presentational areas, understanding the importance of focus on the audience to support learning.
  • Ability to plan, paying attention to detail and a track record in developing and delivering robust, effective, prioritised plans which achieve KPIs and strategic aims.
