Job Title: Multi-Skilled Engineering Trainer

Total People is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Engineering Trainer to join our team. As an Engineering Trainer, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality training and coaching to apprentices in a workshop environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver training and coaching to apprentices in a workshop environment, ensuring they meet the required standards and achieve their qualifications.
  • Develop and maintain a caseload of learners, providing regular interventions and support to ensure they progress and achieve their goals.
  • Ensure evidence of learning, achievement, and funding is captured effectively and timely, including 20% OJT requirements and learner progress.
  • Plan and deliver Maths and English training to support learners' achievement and progress in these areas.
  • Work closely with IQA's to ensure best practice, development needs, and sampling, monitoring as detailed in the IQA plan.
  • Maintain a positive working relationship with employers, ensuring progression and new leads are generated.
  • Produce accurate and timely reports as agreed with your line manager based on your KPI's.
Requirements:
  • Relevant occupational sector experience and relevant qualifications (at a level 3 or higher than delivery).
  • Functional Skills Level 2 in English, Maths, and ICT or equivalent, or willing to undertake.
  • Ability to deliver high-quality, effective coaching that meets learner needs.
  • Ability to deliver engaging and interactive teaching in the workshop to meet learners' needs.
  • Excellent level of skills in written and oral and presentational areas, understanding the importance of focus on the audience to support learning.
  • Ability to plan, paying attention to detail and a track record in developing and delivering robust, effective, prioritised plans which achieve KPIs and strategic aims.
